The artwork Smiling Jackie - Curious about ?0?0 is a 1/1 Edition piece created by Pure Evil in 2018. This work, measuring 83x98x2.5 cm, belongs to Nightmare, the artist's most significant series. In this series, he portrays public figures and icons of 1960s cinema, often referencing the same subjects as Andy Warhol. In these works, Pure Evil offers a different perspective from that of Pop Art artists. The Welsh street artist tends to highlight the human and fragile side of the depicted celebrities.
The portrait of Jackie Kennedy in this representation features a tear on the face of the first lady. Pure Evil's goal is to convey to the observer the sadness hidden behind the apparent perfection of the woman's life, who has experienced several traumatic events throughout her life.

Pure Evil, stage name of Charles Uzzell-Edwards, was born in Wales in 1968 and later moved to London where he became passionate about street style and skateboarding. It was his long stay in California, however, that introduced him to the world of graffiti. On his return to the UK in 2000, he began painting on the streets of the London suburbs, signing his tag, a rabbit with tusks, alongside the works of some big names in Street Art: Banksy, D*Face and Paul Insect.
Pure Evil draws inspiration for his works from Pop Art, in particular the portraits of Andy Warhol. In his most important series Nightmare, the artist Pure Evil portrays public figures and American film stars - from Marilyn Monroe to Jackie Kennedy - on which a characteristic tear runs down, symbolising the disillusionment and pain that is often hidden behind fame.
Pure Evil has exhibited in galleries around the world and participated in numerous group exhibitions and festivals, from the United States to Hong Kong, from Australia to Brazil.
