Blue Jackie Kennedy is a work by Pure Evil performed on multi-layered and laser cut perspex. The work is part of Nightmare: the most important series created by the street artist.
In Blue Jackie Kennedy Pure Evil investigates the disenchantment and sadness that lie behind the apparent perfection of the former first lady’s life. The portrait of Jackie Kennedy is one of the few in the series in which the artist inserts two tears that flow on the face, instead of the single tear present in the other works. Pure Evil through this work of size 100x100x4 cm highlights his admiration towards the artists of Pop Art and Andy Warhol, Jackie Kennedy was in fact one of the favorite subjects of the serigraphs of the American artist.
This perspex was presented at the exhibition Not my circus, not my monkeys held in Wunderkammern in Milan in September 2022.

Pure Evil, stage name of Charles Uzzell-Edwards, was born in Wales in 1968 and later moved to London where he became passionate about street style and skateboarding. It was his long stay in California, however, that introduced him to the world of graffiti. On his return to the UK in 2000, he began painting on the streets of the London suburbs, signing his tag, a rabbit with tusks, alongside the works of some big names in Street Art: Banksy, D*Face and Paul Insect.
Pure Evil draws inspiration for his works from Pop Art, in particular the portraits of Andy Warhol. In his most important series Nightmare, the artist Pure Evil portrays public figures and American film stars - from Marilyn Monroe to Jackie Kennedy - on which a characteristic tear runs down, symbolising the disillusionment and pain that is often hidden behind fame.
Pure Evil has exhibited in galleries around the world and participated in numerous group exhibitions and festivals, from the United States to Hong Kong, from Australia to Brazil.
