Bo130, a street artist born in Milan in 1971, trained artistically between Italy and England until he returned to the city of Milan in the early 2000s, where he currently lives and works. Different subcultures, Punk and Hip-Hop have profoundly influenced his artistic career and the creation of his works. Bo130 is considered one of the pioneers of Street Art in Italy and one of the first writers to have combined his tag with a symbol: a stylised crab. His works transport the viewer on a true dreamlike journey, studded with images, portraits, shapes, colours and words from different worlds. In his production, artist Bo130 includes multi-faceted characters and alien faces, the latter to emphasise the concept of 'being alien', i.e. feeling out of place or different. The street artist Bo130 has exhibited in numerous national and international galleries and museums; among the most important cultural institutions are the Museum of Contemporary Art in Genoa and the massMOCA - museum of Contemporary Arts in Massachusetts. Her art often intertwines with that of the street artist Microbo - one of the first women to enter the urban scene in Italy - with whom she has formed both a sentimental and professional partnership for more than 20 years. In 2005, Bo130 and Microbo created Izastikup, a unique collection of the most iconic 'self-made' stickers. The two were featured in the Expanded FunToMentalism exhibition that the Wunderkammern gallery in Milan dedicated to them in February 2023.
