The artwork by Invader, La Souris Déglinguée is in a limited edition of 75 pieces, hand-signed and numbered by the artist.
The work is a silkscreen on paper and recalls of the subject of the cover designed for the French rock band La Souris Déglinguée. The cover depicts the members of the French band; however, they are portrayed as the iconic style of the artist. Invader is known and appreciated all over the world thanks to the pixelated style of his works, which are inspired by the famous video games of the 1970s and 1980s: Space Invaders.
The work La Souris Déglinguée, made in 2014, measures 50x50 cm.
Inspired by the well-known game Space Invader, Street Artist Invader began his career in the late 1990s. The French artist produces his works as if they were mosaics in order to represent the pixels of the video games.
The works by the artist, predominantly dominated by the iconic alien from the video Games, have invaded cities all over the world, altering the urban environment and cultural heritage. In fact, Invader likes to refer to himself by the acronym UFA "Unidentified Free Artist".
The core of his works is the desire to emancipate art from the places traditionally associated with it and to free the "space invaders" from the screens of video games, shifting them into the real world as symbol of a society which is getting used to live with the digital technology.
