HOGRE - DINO MONOTYPE

In Dino Monotype, Hogre uses the monotype technique to create an image that is both powerful and unique.

The image depicts a ferocious dinosaur, a subject that recalls brute force and antiquity, but here appears as an agglomeration of lines and scratched marks that make it almost astylised icon.

In this work , Hogre manages to transfer the spirit of his outdoor work onto a more traditional medium, while maintaining his characteristic vein of social commentary and cultural criticism.

Dino Monotype is a unique work by Hogre created in 2021, measuring 30 x 35.3 cm.

Hogre

Hogre, an internationally established Roman street artist, lives and works in anonymity and is best known for his unauthorised interventions in public space. The artist Hogre began his career in 2006 when he provocatively covered Berlusconi's election billboards with red noses. His works are true Subvertising - a combination of the English terms subvert and advertising - which consists of the 'creative vandalisation' of billboards, inviting viewers to reflect on the massive use of advertising and commercial images in modern society. Linguistic subversions in order to unmask the mechanisms of capitalism are a further mainstay of Hogre's works. In the murals, he usually sign off with the drawing of a fly, his unmistakable logo. Hogre has exhibited in numerous solo and group shows and was also one of the protagonists of the Steal This Poster project presented by the MACRO museum in Rome in 2019.

Shipping and delivery

The work is fragile and a custom-made wooden crate will have to be made for it to travel safely. It will be delivered to you by insured express courier and the shipping cost will be calculated before payment is made.
