The artwork GULLY 36 was created in 2024 by the Portuguese street artist Add Fuel, known for his skill in integrating elements of modernity into traditional azulejos tiles.
In this piece, Add Fuel combines four glazed ceramic tiles of the same dimensions to form a harmonious square composition with a symmetrical and intricate central pattern. The floral decoration and sinuous curves are characterized by variations of blue and light blue, interspersed with white, which contrasts to highlight the details of the design.
The uniqueness of GULLY 36 lies in its apparent “fracture”: part of the artwork appears to have been damaged, torn, or removed, revealing a layer of tiles underneath. This underlying layer features a pattern similar to the decoration on the top layer but in a monochromatic light gray tone. The same "fracture" is visible in GULLY 37.
The unique artwork GULLY 36 by Add Fuel measures 30 x 30 cm, including a wooden frame.
