FRAGMENT 09 is a unique artwork created by the artist Add Fuel in 2024.
The piece consists of two complementary panels of glazed ceramic tiles. Add Fuel draws inspiration for the technique and decoration of FRAGMENT 09 from traditional Portuguese azulejos. The most intricate and elaborate patterns are arranged diagonally and feature shades of blue and light blue, while light gray dominates the ornamental details of the four tiles placed in the top-right and bottom-left corners.
The composition has a symmetrical effect, although there is no perfect mirror-like quality in the design and colors typical of azulejos. Add Fuel often creates works where symmetrical repetition combines with visual illusions.
The artwork FRAGMENT 09 by Add Fuel measures 75 x 60 cm, including a wooden frame.
