The artwork Fracture 03 was created in 2020 by one of the pioneers of Portuguese urban art, Add Fuel, through a layering of glazed ceramic tiles inspired by the aesthetics of traditional azulejos.
A series of diagonally arranged fragments reveals decorative cracks that alternate rich patterns in shades of light blue, blue, and white with monochromatic designs.
Elements from the world of video games and comics are incorporated by the street artist Add Fuel into the more intricate motifs of the work, in a distinctive fusion of past and present that defines his art.
The unique artwork Fracture 03 measures 91 x 91 cm, including a wooden frame.

Add Fuel, Portuguese street artist, born in Cascais in 1980, received a degree in Graphic Design from IADE - Creative University in Lisbon and then worked in design studios and in 2007 decided to devote himself completely to his artistic career.
The artist Add Fuel stands out in the contemporary urban art scene for creating a bold synthesis between two seemingly antipodal worlds: the centuries-old sophistication of Portuguese azulejos and the explosive vibrancy of urban graffiti.
The work of Add Fuel not only reinterpret Portugal's rich cultural heritage, but revitalize it, projecting it into the contemporary artistic context. His urban interventions can be seen in cities around the world.
