    AGOSTINO IACURCI - BIOGRAPHY

Agostino Iacurci, street artist born in Foggia in 1986, is one of the most recognized Italian artists on the international urban art scene. Essential were his studies at the Rome Academy of Fine Arts in Visual Arts, through which he developed a figurative language characterized by powerful graphic force and immediate visual impact, with simple lines, essential shapes and flat colors that give life to contemporary fairy tale characters.

In his art, Add Fuel uses a variety of techniques, including painting, murals, sculpture, drawing and installation. Deeply inspired to transform and enrich urban spaces through site-specific interventions, he creates compositions that explore the relationship between public space and collective memory. Through his works, Iacurci mixes references to cultural history, personal memories, literature and folk tales, resulting in scenarios that are both familiar and surreal.

Iacurci has received numerous awards, including the Ermanno Casoli Prize (2024), the New York Prize sponsored by MiBAC, MFA and Italian Academy-Columbia University (2020-2022), and the Cantica21 Italian Contemporary Art Everywhere Prize (2021).
