Add Fuel's work Number 9, created in 2024, consists of nine glazed ceramic tiles arranged to form a square composition. Indeed, street artist Add Fuel's style is known worldwide for his use of Azulejos, tiles decorated with harmonious shapes in shades of blue, combining, in an original and fascinating aesthetic, Portuguese tradition with aspects of today's culture.
The different patterns that characterize the unique work Number 9 create an almost symmetrical overall image. At opposite corners are situated two white tiles with a relief decoration. Articulated motifs in shades of blue and light blue, however, are depicted in the other parts of the work, with the exception of two small monochromatic sections tending toward gold. In fact, unlike the other works, Add Fuel adds a new color to his traditional palette: an intense and vibrant gold, thus emphasizing the color play within the composition of the work.
The work Number 9 measures 45 x 45 cm, wooden frame included.
